The London Nationals have completed a trade with the Stratford Warriors, acquiring forwards Jack McGurn and Matthew Blake in exchange for forward Cruz Ferguson.
McGurn joins the Nationals as a skilled, pace-driven forward who has shown strong offensive instincts at the junior level. Known for his speed, playmaking ability, and willingness to attack off the rush, McGurn has demonstrated the ability to contribute in multiple offensive situations while maintaining a high compete level. His versatility allows him to play up and down the lineup, giving London added flexibility as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
Blake adds a different but equally valuable element to the Nationals’ forward group. A hard-working, physical presence, Blake is effective on the forecheck and along the boards, bringing size, strength, and a reliable two-way approach. His ability to play a north-south game and engage physically provides balance to London’s lineup and supports the team’s identity as a fast, hard-working group.
Together, McGurn and Blake strengthen the Nationals’ overall depth while increasing internal competition heading into the second half of the season. The additions align with the organization’s focus on building a roster that combines skill, speed, and physical commitment.
The London Nationals would like to thank Cruz Ferguson for his dedication and contributions to the organization and wish him continued success with the Stratford Warriors.
