The London Nationals are proud to announce that William Janicek has re-signed with the club for the 2026-27 season.
Janicek returns after establishing himself as one of the most dependable and well-liked players on the Nationals roster. A strong, steady presence every time he steps on the ice, Janicek plays the kind of hard, responsible game that earns trust from teammates, coaches, and fans.
During the 2025-26 regular season, Janicek appeared in 22 games and recorded 6 assists. He continued to contribute in the postseason, appearing in 7 playoff games and adding 2 assists.
While the numbers show his ability to chip in offensively, Janicek’s biggest impact comes through the way he plays the game. He is a wall defensively, hard to play against, and consistently brings a strong compete level shift after shift. Whether he is battling in the corners, closing gaps, blocking lanes, or helping move the puck out of the defensive zone, Janicek does the little things that make a big difference.
His effort and connection with the fanbase did not go unnoticed last season, as Janicek was voted the team’s Fan Favourite and received the award – a reflection of the respect and appreciation he earned throughout the year.
