The London Nationals are pleased to welcome Colt Corpse to the coaching staff as the club’s new Assistant Coach.
Corpse brings a strong and well-rounded hockey background to the Nationals bench. A left-shot defenceman from Woodstock, Ontario, he played junior hockey in several respected leagues, including the GOHL with the Caledonia Corvairs, the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, and the NAHL with the Maryland Black Bears, before moving on to the college game.
At the collegiate level, Corpse played for Albertus Magnus College in NCAA hockey, then continued his career at Maryville University, where he spent three seasons on the ACHA Men’s Division I roster. Maryville lists him as a 6-foot-4 defenceman who played there from 2022-23 through 2024-25, and Elite Prospects now shows him on Maryville’s 2025-26 staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
His development path also included strong prep and youth hockey roots. A background profile notes that Corpse played minor hockey in Woodstock, spent years in AAA hockey in Brantford, and later served as a captain at Gilmour Academy, where Elite Prospects’ captaincy history lists him as team captain for the 2017-18 season.
Corpse now steps into the next phase of his hockey career behind the bench, bringing recent playing experience, a modern perspective, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to develop through junior and college hockey. His background as both a player and emerging coach adds another valuable voice to the Nationals staff as the organization continues preparing for the season ahead.
The London Nationals are excited to welcome Colt to the organization and look forward to the energy, experience, and leadership he will bring to the team.
Welcome to the Nationals, Colt.
