The London Nationals are proud to announce the signing of Jack Samek for the 2026-27 GOHL season.
A 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-shot forward from Toronto, Ontario, Samek joins the Nationals following an impressive season with the Markham Majors U16 AAA program.
Samek was selected by the London Knights with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, becoming one of the organization’s highest-selected forwards in this year’s draft.
During the 2025-26 season, Samek was one of the Majors’ most productive offensive players. He recorded 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in 29 U16 AAA games, while also producing 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 12 GTHL U16 contests. He continued his strong play at the OHL Cup, adding 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in five games.
Adding Samek gives the Nationals another exciting young forward with proven offensive ability and elite-level potential. His selection by the London Knights highlights the progress he has made and the bright future that lies ahead as he continues his development.
The signing continues the Nationals’ commitment to building a competitive roster featuring some of Ontario’s top young talent. Samek’s skill, offensive production, and experience competing at the highest levels of U16 hockey make him an exciting addition as the club prepares for the 2026-27 GOHL season.
