The London Nationals celebrated the conclusion of the 2025-26 season on March 30th at the Byron Legion, recognizing the players, volunteers, and individuals whose dedication and commitment helped make the season a success.
The annual Awards Banquet provided an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year while honouring those who demonstrated excellence, leadership, character, and outstanding performance both on and off the ice.
President’s Volunteer Service Award
Sean Robinson
Awarded in recognition of exceptional volunteer service and dedication to the London Nationals organization. Sean’s countless hours supporting the team and helping advance the Nationals both on and off the ice made a significant impact throughout the season.
Classiest Player Award
Cooper Love
Sponsored by Collins Clothiers. The Classiest Player Award recognizes a player who consistently demonstrates sportsmanship, respect, integrity, and professionalism. Cooper represented the London Nationals with tremendous character throughout the season and earned the respect of teammates, opponents, officials, and fans alike.
Most Outstanding Graduate Award
Austen Pomerleau
Presented to a graduating player whose dedication, leadership, and contributions have left a lasting impact on the organization. Austen’s commitment to excellence on and off the ice helped set the standard for future Nationals players.
Fan Favourite Award
William Janicek
Sponsored by Hanford’s Tire & Service. Voted on by fans & supporters of the London Nationals, this award recognizes a player who made a memorable impact both on the ice and within the community. William’s passion, effort, and connection with fans made him a deserving recipient.
Most Regular Season Points Award
Austen Pomerleau
Awarded to the player who led the London Nationals in offensive production during the regular season. Austen’s consistent scoring ability and offensive leadership were key contributors to the team’s success.
Most Outstanding Defenceman Award
Cody Wood
Presented to the team’s top defenceman, recognizing excellence in all areas of the game. Cody provided stability, leadership, and outstanding play from the blue line throughout the season.
Playoff MVP Award
Dante Bertolin
Awarded to the player whose performance elevated the team during the postseason. Dante consistently delivered in key moments and played a crucial role in the Nationals’ playoff efforts.
Most Developed Player Award
Alexandre Campeau
Sponsored by Oxford Dodge. This award recognizes the player who demonstrated the greatest growth and improvement throughout the season. Alexandre’s dedication to development and commitment to becoming a better player were evident from start to finish.
John Kasubeck Leadership Award
Matthew Blake
Named in honour of John Kasubeck, this award recognizes exceptional leadership, accountability, and commitment to teammates. Matthew exemplified these qualities throughout the season and served as a positive influence within the dressing room.
Most Outstanding Regular Season Player Award
Austen Pomerleau
Sponsored by iMed Health Solutions. Presented to the player whose overall impact, consistency, and performance made the greatest contribution during the regular season. Austen’s outstanding play established him as one of the team’s most valuable players.
Most Outstanding Two-Way Forward Award
Nicholas Kiss
Sponsored by Cambridge Crown and Trim. Awarded to the forward who excelled in every zone of the ice, demonstrating both offensive production and defensive responsibility. Nicholas consistently contributed in all situations and exemplified complete team play.
